Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it?
I have to admit, 99% of the rope on my house is store-bought.
And then I took a cordage class.
Yeah, still a noob, but learning.
And experimenting!
In the class, we learned the basics and tested out the how-to on some dried, and then rehydrated, corn husk.
Yes, I now make eyes at the corn husk trash bag at the grocery store….
My first random experiment was on a dead orchid leaf. I have orchids, so naturally, I have some dead leaves here and there.
Did it work? Not so much. While they seem pretty hearty, when they dry, they are pretty tearable. Sideways.
Will I try it again? Yeah, probably 😂
