What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

The most delicious meal I’ve ever eaten was from a tiny cellar restaurant in Paris.

Traveling with my mom has its benefits, but finding hidden jewels off the main road is absolutely not one of them. I think she’s actually a little afraid of travel. Don’t eat this. Don’t go there. Don’t talk to anyone.

What’s the point? All of the things she wants to see are things to find on a tv show for mundane. “The usual attractions”. Yawn.

We met up with one of her horse friends while in Paris and he was actually a little more adventurous. We found ourselves having dinner in a tiny, almost hole in the wall, basement restaurant. The food. Was. Amazing. Ravioli in a pink sauce, wine, bread. All the things. I wish I’d taken a picture of the menu, or the name of the place. Anything.

The moral? Don’t be so afraid that you don’t try some new.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
