Are you a leader or a follower?
It really depends on the situation.
I know that some folks need to be leaders. It’s legitimately part of their identity. And some people cannot lead.
I can do/be either.
If I feel passionate about something and my ducks are in a row (versus squirrels at a rave), I’ll take point. I feel comfortable there.
If I’m spending time in someone else’s ball court, I have no issues supporting the lead. I can defer, look to for guidance and run interference from behind.
I’m first born, so the mama-bear, trail-blazer persona is an easy fit for me. But I also like being a peace-maker.
