“I do it myself”

1–2 minutes

What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

I’ve heard those stories from many parents. Ever notice how little kids have no problems taking on tasks that they just don’t want help with? It’s because they believe they can do anything. Maybe they can? Fear of failure seems to be a learned thing. Or a taught thing.

I have a friend that is fond of the quote “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”

Unfortunately, failure is often a great teacher. It shows us how to not do something. When we keep pushing, it is often in the 11th hour that the breakthrough comes. Sweet, sweet victory!

My growing experiences have often come after those failures, because unlike my child-me, failures still loom in the background, taunting me.

In their own way, driving me forward.

The only way to truly fail, is to quit.

No quitting today. 💜
