Write about your dream home.

I’ve found that as an adult, I’m spending a lot of time trying to create what the child me was missing. There were a lot of uncertainties as I was growing up. Certain sounds induced fear and anxiety. For example the kitchen spoon drawer. It didn’t mater what I was doing, but when that thing was wrenched up, my throat would tighten, my heart would race and I’d start looking for a place to hide. No shit. That fear has kept with me. None of my drawers make that sound.

I haven’t done the research, but am willing to bet that many survivors of childhood trauma will say the same about triggers.

Haha, and people wonder why I get a little tense when “spanking” (sure, we’ll call it that) is on the table for discussion. Do you beat your wife when she gets out of line, too?

Goin to let this one go for now. Sleep was shit.
