What was once black and white has become a gray haze

1–2 minutes

How have your political views changed over time?

When I was young, the importance of voting for “the right side, no matter what they said or who they were” was impressed upon us.

Seemed a silly thing to do.

In college, my economics instructor said that “voting was a waste of your time, unless you were invested in the topics on the table”. Well, ok there.

As I have gotten older, I have realized that, regardless of political views and regardless of who is in office, the lives of the little guys are always going to be tools for the the big guys. The massive corporations, like banks and big pharma. Fear and anger-mongering that takes place around voting season does exactly what Bradbury said. Of you haven’t read Fahrenheit 451, read it. Seriously.

My views have gotten a little more broader. And a little more cynical. Or is the word “unclouded”?

Here’s some coffee! Have a safe weekend.
