Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
My first day at the last job I ever wanted to have was all of those things, for a lot of different reasons. It was a step up from my then-current job, so I had the basics down. I only superficially knew the team, the people in the building and the site. Except for one man.
The expectations were not really clear. The day to day wasn’t really clear. I was leaving the rather immature, yet family like team I had been with for a few years.
It was like all change, hard at first, uncertain, uncomfortable. And then I realized it was the last job I ever wanted to do before I retired. Funny how that transition goes. 🤷🏻♀️
