I started with SM on My Space. Does anybody remember that? I had a song that played on my page. i had rotating 3-d graphics. It was really fricking cool! And then MS wasn’t cool. It was outmoded. It was replaced by…Facebook.
I rejected it. Same as I rejected digital photography. Different story. Same premise. I wanted to be a purist, or some shit. So I didn’t hop on the Facebook train until I was in the middle of a shit marriage and I wanted to get in touch with a former flame that, somehow, represented when “things were better”. That’s why we do it, right? Life was simpler. Easier. Better. So, Facebook happened. No names. I’m not that crass.
Fast forward. I’m trying to figure all of these linking and forward posting things out. So I post toy blog, and it goes to… Instagram. And Facebook, and Goodreads. Holy crap! Anywhere else? Who knows!? Probably goes directly to my digital SF86 🤨
Is this stuff hard for any other Gen Xe’ers? Let me know….
