Good swift kick in the….

1–2 minutes

Proverbial butt. That happened yesterday. One of my workmates is very enthusiastic about my writing. Very supportive. He loves to brainstorm with me. He tells me I have legit talent. All the things!

Not going to lie, I haven’t been writing. Rejection is a powerful stopping force. I’ve not handled it well. Well, take a poo or get off the potty pot, Jules.

I’m back to it. Again.

Yesterday, friend says “I want to see you succeed. Take 30 minutes a day and write.” It makes sense, yeah? No writing = no income from writing. Duh. Last night wasn’t quite 30 minutes, but it was a start. Today I fired up the old YouTube and searched for “The Hero Arc”. My story has, well, a hero. The fellow talked a lot about Joseph Campbell. If you haven’t read his books, you should. Great stuff!

Wrote a little more today as well. And I worked on my confluence page. I borrowed this idea from Sanderson. He keeps a personal wiki for his writing. I have basic pages for each of my characters set up so far. Gotta start some where. Or, keep going from somewhere. Something.

Carry on!!!

Be safe, and be well.

Jules
